Easter is coming! For me, Easter is not only a very special day for my faith, but it is also a day full of long-lived traditions.
Easter Sunday is the first day of a new season in which white shoes are acceptable (is that a Southern thing?). It is the only other Sunday, besides Christmas, that little girls step out in frilly dresses and boys suit up in their shirts and ties.
For many, it is the day the bunny shows up with a basket full of gifts. Eggs are died in various colors and patterns. Eggs are hidden and (hopefully) found by kids of all ages.
And for many, it is a day of a meal as large as Thanksgiving. And just like Thanksgiving has its signature meat, the turkey, Easter comes with its one signature meat, ham.
This year I am so excited because my family will be feasting on a Petit Jean Spiral Sliced Smoked Ham for our Easter meal. If you have never had a smoked ham from Petit Jean Meats, then you are truly missing out on one of the best flavors your mouth has ever known.
The spiral sliced ham comes fully cooked and full of flavor. It can be stored in your freezer until time to thaw it out for your meal. Then, it can be wrapped and in the oven while you attend Easter services.
Not a ham person? Petit Jean Meats has an entire line of hams, turkeys, and other meats to make your meal special.
You can learn all about Petit Jean Meats and their amazing line of meats by getting to know them on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.
Are you a Dallas Cowboys fan? (We are huge Cowboys fans at our house) Petit Jean Meats is the official ham and bacon of the Dallas Cowboys. You can shop their entire line of Cowboys products here.
