Does your spouse have little quirks that just get on your nerves? Mine does and one of them involves food.
When Hubby fixes his plate, he just makes one big pile of food and mixes it all together before he eats it. When we first got married I would get mad at him. I accused him of not trying dishes that I made and often got my feelings hurt.
As the years have gone by this little quirk of his still exists, but doesn't bother me like it used to. Turns out I might have taken it up myself.
Last weekend on our mini vacation we went to Olive Garden. Being a huge seafood and pasta lover, I ordered the Tour di Mare. According to the menu this item is "Creamy shrimp alfredo, lightly fried shrimp scampi fritta and smoked mozzarella ravioli filled with shrimp and crab." It looked delicious when it arrived at the table.
I got my area all prepared for some good eating, and realized I had done this to this amazing dish.
It stopped me in my tracks and made me laugh out loud in the restaurant. Hubby cracked up too when I pointed out what I had done.
Then I got to thinking about my eating habits and realized that I've been mixing my food up for quite a while now. I'm not sure when it started, but I have obviously taken on at least one of Hubby's little quirks.
Do you or your spouse have any quirks you have picked up from one another?
