Fast forward a few months and I'm sitting on the front row at said conference and this cute-as-can-be lady, wearing some equally as cute blue cowboy boots, was standing in front of me giving us all tips on how to be a better blogger. She was real. She was funny. She was someone I had to add to my reading list.
I was also excited to find out that Lela was about to release her second book, Who Peed on My Yoga Mat?. I was even more excited when an advanced review copy landed in my inbox.
Who Peed on My Yoga Mat? is a collection of essays Lela has written about her family and about her friends. She spares no details and tells the truth just like it is. It is laugh-out-loud funny.
It is also educational - even if not intentionally.
Now I consider myself to be an advanced, and dedicated, user of Google products. I have the Blogger blog, the Google business account, Google analytics, Google plus. I use the Google based phone and all the wonderful Google provided apps.
But it was while reading the chapter about Lela and her hubby syncing up their Google calendars that a light went off in my head. The Hubby and I can share a Google calendar? I don't have to use that weird family calendar app that I rely on? I don't have to leave sticky notes and send Hubby millions of text message reminders?
