This weekend Hubby was gone and it was just me and the kids. We needed to run to the grocery store for milk, so I told Ting she could pick out whatever she wanted for dinner while we were at the store. The only catch was that she had to help me cook it when we got home.
She was so funny at the grocery store. She stood for a while with her little finger up to the side of her face like she was thinking. After a few moments, she declared "I got it"! She didn't tell me what we were going to get, but told me to follow her.
We walked up and down the aisles while she looked for whatever it was that she had planned for our dinner. This is what we got home with.
So after our delicious supper, it was time to do a little baking. Ting actually did a great job. I opened all the packaging and did all the measuring, but she poured everything in the mixer. I think she is going to be a good little cook one of these days. Of course, she reaped the rewards of fresh cake batter, ha!
We tried to make the icing orange for Halloween, but we never really got past the peach color. Then she wanted to add some Disney Princesses sprinkles we found in the cabinets. I think it turned out pretty nice.
Warm cake and a glass of milk. The perfect end to our Friday night!
